Francesca Marti Francesca Marti
She lives in Stockholm and Mallorca in light and the urban skyline of the historic northern city and the nature of one of the most beautiful Mediterranean landscapes. In her travels she is frequently looking for culture and experience capturing with her sharp gaze glimmers of life, emotions and visual sensations that she stores in her camera. And maybe it is that same vital tension that turns her life in a never-ending artistic and visual voyage.

In 1989, after finishing her art studies, Francesca Marti made her debut in the Mallorcan artists circuit. Her paintings were post-modern and hybrid, integrated references that were as diverse as the flat colour from pop art or photography drawing and the Mediterranean impressionist tradition.

Her preferred colours, which defined her first stage of her career, will soon go beyond the limits of painting to find in the language of video art and photography its natural medium.

The artist who directs, writes and 'manipulates' stones imagined by her gives an outstanding role to music in her work,- which has led to a close cooperation with renowned Belgian Director and Composer Dirk Brossé in the production of ‘Music and Fly’.
