Marc de Roover
A Belgian artist living in Southern France, where he develops and creates his installations that are exhibited worldwide.

'Aimbridge' is an installation that was first shown in Antwerp a few years ago and symbolises the 'passage', the crossing point, something that links two sides'...

42 ‘life-size Armadillo’s’ - made in artificial stone by Marc de Roover symbolise this 'crossing' in a 'neckless’ type of construction, faces directed to the same arrival point.

The aim to reach the goal, without hesitation and de-tours... this work is about this goal-driven activity the concentrated energy, silent vitality...in a way almost blind and deaf, blind for doubts or because of doubts.... deaf for questions or because of questions... but very 'human' and characterising human existence... Life as a 'one-way street', a 'one way bridge'...so after all: 'aimbridge.’
